The Non-Placer
According to french anthropologist Marc Augé, a non-place is «a space where we don’t live in», in which individuals «remain anonymous and lonely». In other words: airports, parking lots, motorways, dead malls… we all have been there, and also, every place seems a little more non-place nowadays, right?
So, in the spirit of all these illustration projects paying tribute to The New Yorker, I decided to create The Non-Placer, a non-existent magazine about all the places where we feel like we don’t belong.
