Viña Peleona

Packaging illustrations created for Viña Peleona, a small-batch familiar winery.

Viña Peleona is a single vineyard wine from old Zalema vines (a local variety dating back to 16th Century) grown in Villablanca (Huelva), a village in southern Spain. Sustainably grown, manually harvested, hand-pressed using a manual grape press, and bottled one by one, you could say that this wine is a pain in the neck.

Inspired by this painstaking production method, my illustrations reflect the struggles of a family, fighting against adversities, weather conditions, and trends, generation after generation.

The result is a young, dry, aromatic, pale-green to golden wine that can (and will) put up a good fight.
